While in the Dominican Republic working on a magazine for the tourist trade, I cam upon

the children behind the resort walls. Poor children who had little but made a great deal with

what they had. When one school was closed they would walk 5 miles to the other. On my

next trip I will spend most of my time documenting their lives.
